Mission
It is our mission to compassionately help older adults improve their quality of life. We are committed to
employing only those at the top of their profession. We empower our employees to expand their knowledge and embrace
their passion to enhance our clients success.
Vision
Senior Abilities Unlimited will be regarded as the country's premier provider of non-medicare physical therapy
solutions for older adults.
Private Pay Philosophy
Providing private-pay physical therapy is a complete philosophical change to that of a Medicare-based one. It’s not
just the billing party that is different, it’s the whole process from beginning to end.
Each employee is hand picked to accommodate the different type of service. The scheduling, billing and electronic
record-keeping software is developed especially for Senior Abilities Unlimited to assist in the unique process of providing
the services.
At Senior Abilities Unlimited the older adults are not just patients, they are treated as clients.
Senior Abilities Unlimited values the client and their family. When they call in, over 90% of the time they are greeted by
one of the team members rather than a voice mail announcement. This, in addition to a co-owner being available 90% of the time,
assures that a response to a question or comment is as immediate as possible.
By specializing in the private pay model, Senior Abilities Unlimited has the means and the focus to get the best results
for their clients.

The Story of Senior Abilities Unlimited, LLC
Nicole Rennie, PT,BS,GCS, had a vision in the late 1990s, for what would become Senior Abilities Unlimited, after seeing
an important need of physical therapy for older adults who did not qualify for Medicare or insurance based physical therapy.
In her (then) environment her patients' treatments would stop due to the time restrictions of Medicare or insurance.
A home exercise program would be given to a patient but due to the lack of a trained medical professional (physical therapist)
at hand to modify the exercises as needed and provide the motivation to continue they would still be at risk of falling and
in most cases their mobility was still severely limited. They needed the services of a company that could help them privately.
Despite advice from consultants that such a unique service would not work in the marketplace, Nicole took a risk and
started the company in 1999. At that time Nicole set up the values and commitment to excellence that has guided the
company to this day. The company would focus on only helping patients in their homes that would not qualify for Medicare-covered
physical therapy. No other company is known to do this in the country.
Nicole met her future husband Chris who brings to the company the experience of implementing technology based solutions
to better the services that the company provides. Following their marriage in 2001 they made a commitment to expand the
company and employ additional physical therapists. Their first employee started two months later.
Owners, Nicole and Chris Rennie create a team environment where the company continues to grow due to the experience, knowledge
and input from it’s employees.
To better explain the company's flagship service, at the beginning of 2006 the company began to invest in a re-branding process.
As a result, in April 2007 Tandem Strength and Balance® was
launched with it’s own web site.
The company has also invested in an advanced technology solution to better serve our client's families. Phase one is expected
to be completed by the middle of 2009.
Other services that utilize the skills of a private-pay physical therapist have
been added by the company. In 2004 Senior Abilities Unlimited implemented the Personal Safety Reports and the free Community Education service
was added in 2007. The Digital Education Service is expected to begin at the beginning of 2009.
Senior Abilities Unlimited is based in Bloomington, Minnesota and provides it’s services to the Minneapolis and St. Paul
greater metro area. There are plans to expand to other geographic locations.
