The functional level of the older adult is analyzed by an experienced physical
therapist to determine safety concerns and offer solutions.
Health Care Professionals
Only physical therapists and occupational therapists, as health care professionals,
have the knowledge and experience to analize an older adult's functional level
and make recommendations to improve their safety in their home enviorment.
Individualized
In our case we use our experienced physical therapists to make an independent assessment.
We call it a Personal Safety Report because it is individualized for the person. The same
house will have different safety concerns with different residents.
Analysis
By using our physical therapists not only do you know that the safety issues will be identified and remedies
offered, but also that unncessessary spending will be eliminated. For example, by analyzing
a person's functional level we might detemine a hand rail on the stairs is all that is
required rather than a chair lift. A hand rail would not only be cheaper but it may mean
that a person can return home from a rehab unit quicker because there is no need to wait
for the chair lift to be installed.
Independent
As we do not sell or perform any of the solutions in the report, you can be assured that
the report will be completely independent. Rather, we put you in contact with experts in their respective fields.
Easy to Understand
The best safety report is the one that gives the best chance for potential problems to be addressed.
A report that is easy to follow and understand can facilatate this. Most times pages of text just gets
in the way of getting jobs done. Our report is in pictorial form. Actual photos of the rooms are shown
with safety concerns highlighted by arrows. For example, if a grab bar is required you can see at a glance where
it should go and at what angle.

numbers and specific order numbers.
